New Comments Feature

Recently we wrote about the importance of comments to your article: They allow for a dialogue with your readers, help you measure the impact of your articles and increase your online reputation by showing your presence and expertise.

Now the comments system has improved even more. We have integrated the comments system with Facebook, creating an arena that allows discussing the article, and further spread word of the article throughout Facebook. It is now called Discuss the Article.

How does it work?

For once, the reader must be connected to Facebook in order to publish a comment. The Facebook Plug-in allows integrating other services like Yahoo or Hotmail in order to leave the comment, but it still goes through Facebook. This offers a safer environment for discussing the article, with less spam.

Once logged in, the user’s Facebook picture will appear, together with the option to post it under different accounts or Facebook pages (under change).

The user can opt to post the comment on Facebook, and the result is displayed on the user’s Facebook feed.

It’s not hard to grasp the exponential spread this sort of discussion can have. What was before limited to the article page now travels via Facebook spreading further more your articles. Take advantage of this new feature, encourage your readers to comment and make sure to comment as well.

All previous comments posted to the article prior the launch of the new feature will still appear.

What do you think of the new feature? Let us know!

All the best,

Ronit and the team
